INTENSIVE WEEK

Location:

  • The Studio Sydney Group (1/10 Northumberland Rd, Caringbah NSW 2229)

  • The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland (30 Eton Street Sutherland NSW 2232) - Dancer drop off & pick up via Stage Door on Merton Street.

*Dancer drop off (11am) & pick up (7pm) point is via the Stage Door at The Pavilion performing Arts Centre, Sutherland on April 18 & 19.

The Stage door is located on Merton street.

Performance Checklist

Theatre Day on Saturday, April 18 will include onstage rehearsals, a technical run, and a full dress rehearsal. Show Day on Sunday, April 19 will include a warm-up, rehearsal, and the performances (1:30pm & 5:30pm)

Dancers must arrive with performance hair and makeup done, and bring all required costume items on both days. We will do makeup touch-ups before the dress run and shows.

Please ensure dancers also bring rehearsal attire, lunch, snacks, and a water bottle each day.

  • Female dancers will require the following for the performance:

    • Ballet stockings in Theatrical Pink or to match skin tone

    • Ballet shoes in new or like new condition (Junior Company): Canvas ballet flats with elastics 

    • Ballet shoes in new or like new condition (Main Company): Canvas ballet flats with ribbons.

    • Pointe Shoes (TBC. Main Company who dance on pointe)

    • Black Character shoes (Junior Company)

    • Black Character Shoes (Most main company dancers tbc.)

    • Nude colour dance underwear or bodysuit

    Male Dancers will require the following for the performance:

    • Nude dance underwear

    • Black ballet flats

    • Black ballet tights

  • Classical ballet attire with hair done appropriately for ballet class (ballet bun for female dancers).

    Warm-up attire: please pack something to keep warm in between stage rehearsals.

  • Hair for female dancers in a middle-part, low classical ballet bun (pancake style ie. a flat ballet bun)

    Make-up: Stage make-up in neutral colours. Lip colour tbc.

  • Lunch & snacks: Please pack a lunch, snacks, and a water bottle to keep your dancer fuelled and hydrated throughout the day. We’ll have regular scheduled breaks.

  • Dancer drop off (11am) & pick up (7pm) point is via the Stage Door at The Pavilion performing Arts Centre, Sutherland on April 26 & 27.
